As our age increases, the glow of our skin keeps on reducing. On our face skin, there is a permanent impact due to many years of exposure in sunlight, gravity, smiling, anger, chewing, many other such activities. The tissues due to which our skin is fresh and glowing start getting broken with advancement our age, thus there develop wrinkles and lines on the skin. Due to advancement of age, outer skin show the effect of age, but what is happening to inner skin is more permanent and important. Some theories say old age depends on biologically controlled genetic clock, some say that old age comes due to bad effect of environment on our body system. For example, exposure to UV light, and damage of tissues due to metabolic processes brings old age fast. Although old age cannot be prevented, it can be postponed to some extent. Food full of anti oxidants can not only postpones old age, it can also repair a lot of internal tissue damages.

When you are in second decade of your life, there are a lot of changes in your body. For example, there are a lot of hormonal changes, which keeps body in ups and downs. Some persons develop oily skin due to hormonal changes and it attracts acne formation on face. As the immune system is in good shape, the distorted collagens automatically get repaired. If the skin is too much exposed to sunlight, there is collection of damaged collagen that results in change of skin texture. There starts hair wrinkles.

In the third decade of the life, there can be permanent changes in the skin. In this phase of life as per the type of the skin, the genetic factors and exposure to sunlight collagens get damaged fast. This causes a basic difference in basic shape and texture of the face and its skin. There is a reduction in size. In some cases, it seems that before the face was inflated but now it is like a burst tube. Due to this the skin of neck get wrinkled and also there are little wrinkles found near eye region and near lips. The elasticity and moisture level of skin gets reduced.

In the fourth decade, there is a fast imbalance of hormones in the body. So in many cases, the elasticity of skin gets reduced fast, the degeneration of collagen increases and overall fat of the body starts reducing. Some glands stop secreting moisture so the skin becomes dry and thin and this also results in, increase in wrinkles. In this age group, impact of sunlight can very easily be observed on skin, which very easily becomes affected by it. The skin loses its basic tone and glare. In most females, formation of estrogen stops due to menopause, this results in clear visibility of wrinkles on face and neck skin.

In Fifth decade, there is very fast breakdown of collagens. This results in clear visibility of wrinkles near eyes and edges of face. The skin gets loose and inelastic, and hangs by itself. The skin is unable to cope with external pressures of environment and becomes out of color and glare in many cases.

To keep your skin glowing and young with age, try to drink at least 7-8 glasses of water a day, always eat salad with meals ie it’s a must to take roughage containing food plus take steps to avoid direct intense exposure to sunlight on skin, one can use sunscreen lotions. One must take adequate measures to maintain the moisture of the skin to make it young for long time using Vaseline, glycerin and other popular products.
